wd hitch advice

I have a 2006 halfton Suburban with max tow rating of 8400lbs. I bought a 30ft TT with gross dry weight of 5858lbs. After we had the hitch put on, the gentleman went thru the operation of it and said to keep the tension chain on link 3. No real reason why other then because he said so. I don't believe it's over loaded because we upgraded from a popup and don't have too much to put in it!! The rear of my truck seems to dip just a little bit. Does this mean that the weight distribution hitch is on the wrong link or is the the camper just too heavy? I have been reading all the articles on weight of this and that and am seeing double from so many equations and acronyms!! My husband just keeps saying its fine, but I'm the one driving to PA this summer. Thanks for any advice.

RE: To Grease or Not to Grease

I bought my 30' Pioneer 2 weeks ago and they didn't grease anything. They said it was a matter of personal preference. I think you guys are smarter!!

Storing the blue holding tank when traveling??

We just upgraded from a pop-up to a 30' camper and I really don't wanna put the blue tank inside my camper when we travel. Is there a kit or can someone give me some ideas on how to attach it on the back bumper for travel? This weekend will be trip 2 for us, we learned last time we needed that tank only after the grey water was full!

how do i reconnect the battery?

Per the owner's manual, I removed the battery from out camper for the winter and stored it in the garage so it wouldn't freeze, but I don't know which wires get connected to which terminal!!! Where might I find an illustration to help me out?? I need to have it charged to use the power winch to raise it up (I left the manual crank inside!!) Any help or info GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks
